You can sense the excitement that’s in the air from all who will attend the happy affair. Apples are being bought for the pies to be made. To anyone who is interested, we can use your aid. The beautiful prize car proudly stands on display. In order to win, you might have to pray. Many more prizes are awaiting a winner and you might also enjoy a tasty chicken dinner. Fr. Harvey’s famous chili is another yearly event and to purchase this is money well spent. Apple Pies will fill the air with a delicious aroma. These bakers certainly deserve a well-earned diploma. Join us for the 37th Applefest September 17th-20th, 2009!
What began as a small parish ethnic festival 36 years ago has evolved into the area’s largest autumn festival. Held on the grounds of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Fenton, MI, the St. John Applefest has become a community event that draws families from Fenton, Linden, Holly, and all over the tri-county area. As the largest parish festival in the Diocese of Lansing, Applefest provides friendship, festivities, food, and – most of all – fun for people of all ages.
