An Applefest Poem

Our Applefest is fast approaching. All Volunteers are receiving extra coaching.

You can sense the excitement that’s in the air from all who will attend the happy affair.

Apples are being bought for the pies to be made. To anyone who is interested, we can use your aid.

The beautiful prize car proudly stands on display. In order to win, you might have to pray.

Many more prizes are awaiting a winner and you might also enjoy a tasty chicken dinner.

Fr. Harvey’s famous chili is another yearly event and to purchase this is money well spent.

Apple Pies will fill the air with a delicious aroma. These bakers certainly deserve a well-earned diploma.

We hope all will come, both young and old, to have a great time and stay in the fold.

How to Volunteer at Applefest

Interested in donating some of your time to the area's most popular parish festival?  It's easy!  Applefest is always looking for good people to help "put on the fun".  You need not be a member of St. John Parish.

ONLINE

Hey, you're already here! To receive occasional emails and updates about volunteer opportunities, register here at the website. You can create a new profile, or use your Facebook profile to log in - no additional typing needed! (There's a Register to Volunteer link there on the left).

Registering does two things - it lets us send you the occasional email about volunteering at Applefset (and that's the ONLY thing we're doing with it - no third party sales / harvesting / spam or anything like that).  Most volunteer opportunities are now public, but some require registration.

Click here to check out where Applefest *especially* needs volunteers, and get in touch with us (see below).

Don't see something that grabs you? No worries - send us an email or give a call, and we'll see what we can do to put your efforts to good use!
